چکیده

The incorporation of metal oxide nanoparticles (NPs) in fiber filters is an effective approach to enhance the specific surface area and roughness fiber, hence improving their efficiency for fine dust capture other gas treatment or biological applications. Nevertheless, uneven distribution NPs limits practical In this study, a commercial silane coupling agent (3-methacryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane) was used improve dispersion zinc (ZnO) thin polyacrylonitrile fibers. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) revealed that fibers incorporating silane-modified exhibited better than those prepared with pristine ZnO NPs. modification enhanced area, roughness, porosity. particular, nanofiber filter 12 wt% modified 0.5 g per maintained filtration 99.76% low pressure drop 44 Pa, excellent antibacterial activity, could decompose organic methylene blue dye 85.11% under visible light.

Electrospinning Fabrication and Performance Evaluation of Polyacrylonitrile Nanofiber for Air Filter Applications

Nano materials possess unique mechanical, physical, and chemical properties. They are small, and have an ultrahigh surface area, making them suitable for air filter applications since air filtration is necessary to protect sensitive components from harmful particulates and gaseous contaminants. The electrospinning method has been recognized as an efficient technique for fabricating polymer nano...

Criteria air pollutants and toxic air pollutants.

This review presents a brief overview of the health effects and exposures of two criteria pollutants--ozone and particulate matter--and two toxic air pollutants--benzene and formaldehyde. These pollutants were selected from the six criteria pollutants and from the 189 toxic air pollutants on the basis of their prevalence in the United States, their physicochemical behavior, and the magnitude of...

Nanofiber Air Filters with High-Temperature Stability for Efficient PM2.5 Removal from the Pollution Sources.

Here, we developed high-efficiency (>99.5%) polyimide-nanofiber air filters for the high temperature PM2.5 removal. The polyimide nanofibers exhibited high thermal stability, and the PM2.5 removal efficiency was kept unchanged when temperature ranged from 25-370 °C. These filters had high air flux with very low pressure drop. They could continuously work for >120 h for PM2.5 index >300. A field...

Criteria Pollutants and Volatile Organic Compounds Emitted from Motorcycle Exhaust under Various Regulation Phases

Establishment of emission standards is an important measure for controlling vehicle exhaust. This study examined the emission factors of air pollutants from 40 four-stroke motorcycles of various emission standard phases, ages, and mileage. Based on the emission standards, the motorcycles were divided into three groups (Phases III, IV and V). Regulated air pollutants (CO, HC, and NOx), CO2, and ...
