Zinc Oxide Nanoparticles and Fe-Modified Activated Carbon Affecting the In Vitro Growth of Date Palm Plantlets cv. Medjool

The survival and growth of in vitro plantlets are still problematic for the date palm; thus, application nanotechnology may provide palm that develop faster with enhanced biochemical parameters. Moreover, usage Fe-modified activated carbon (Fe-AC) prepared from pits instead charcoal (AC) tissue culture media during current investigation can be considered an innovative approach. Furthermore, effect zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnO-NPs) bulk particles (ZnO-BPs) on rooting some physiological indices was also investigated. X-ray diffraction, dynamic light scattering, scanning electron microscopy, transmission microscopy were used to characterize Fe-AC ZnO-NPs. As detected characterization, particle size 720 nm 60 obtained results indicated AC significantly plantlet growth, height, number leaves/plantlet, root length, roots/plantlet, concentrations IAA, chlorophyll a b compared Fe-AC. On other hand, sugars phenols concentrations, POD PAL activities highly increased There no significant difference terms plant fresh weight (FW), leaf width, protein, amino acids, carotenoids.
