x−[Pd(dmit)2]2 as a quasi-one-dimensional scalene Heisenberg model

چکیده
From first principles, we calculate the Heisenberg interactions between neighboring dimers in several compounds within Et$_{n}$Me$_{4-n}X$[Pd(dmit)$_2$]$_2$ (Et = ethyl, Me methyl, dmit 2-thioxo-1,3-dithiole-4,5-dithiolate) family using an atomistic approach; with broken-symmetry density functional theory. In all materials, find a scalene triangular model where strongest exchange coupling along one crystallographic axis is up to three times larger than others and that frustration further enhances this quasi-one-dimensionality. We N\'eel ordering temperature via chain random phase approximation (CRPA). show difference frustrated interchain couplings equivalent single bipartite coupling, favoring long-range magnetic order. temperatures are good agreement experimentally measured values for most compounds.

One-dimensional quasi-static continuum model of muscle contraction as a distributed control system
Human muscles provide the mechanical energy necessary to set the body in motion. Some muscles, such as those in the lower limbs, provide large forces required to walk or run while others, like those around the wrist, have the dexterity needed to perform complex tasks. Understanding how these muscles function is an integral component of comprehending skeletal motion. Models and simulations of mu...
متن کاملQuasi - One - Dimensional Riemann Problems
We study two-dimensional Riemann problems with piecewise constant data. We identify a class of two-dimensional systems, including many standard equations of compressible ow, which are simpliied by a transformation to similarity variables. For equations in this class, a two-dimensional Riemann problem with sectorially constant data becomes a boundary-value problem in the nite plane. For data lea...
متن کاملA disorder-enhanced quasi-one-dimensional superconductor
A powerful approach to analysing quantum systems with dimensionality d>1 involves adding a weak coupling to an array of one-dimensional (1D) chains. The resultant quasi-1D (q1D) systems can exhibit long-range order at low temperature, but are heavily influenced by interactions and disorder due to their large anisotropies. Real q1D materials are therefore ideal candidates not only to provoke, te...
متن کاملTransition from a one-dimensional to a quasi-one-dimensional state in interacting quantum wires.
Upon increasing the electron density in a quantum wire, the one-dimensional electron system undergoes a transition to a quasi-one-dimensional state. In the absence of interactions between electrons, this corresponds to filling up the second subband of transverse quantization, and there are two gapless excitation modes above the transition. On the other hand, strongly interacting one-dimensional...
متن کاملTwo-dimensional Heisenberg model with nonlinear interactions.
We investigate a two-dimensional classical N-vector model with a nonlinear interaction (1+sigma(i) x sigma(j))(p) in the large-N limit. As observed for N=3 by Blöte et al. [Phys. Rev. Lett. 88, 047203 (2002)], we find a first-order transition for p>p(c) and no finite-temperature phase transitions for pp(c), both phases have short-range order, the correlation length showing a finite...
