WSB1 Involvement in Prostate Cancer Progression

چکیده

Prostate cancer (PC) is polygenic disease involving many genes, and more importantly a host of gene–gene interactions, including transcriptional factors. The WSB1 gene target numerous oncoproteins, its dysregulation can contribute to tumor progression by abnormal activation targeted oncogenes. Using data from the Cancer Genome Atlas, we tested possible involvement in PC progression. A multi-dimensional scaling (MDS) model was applied clarify association expression with other key such as c-myc, ERG, Enhancer Zeste 1 2 (EHZ1 EZH2), WNT10a, WNT 10b. An increased associated higher grades worse prognosis. It also positively related EZH1, EZH2, WNT10b. Moreover, MDS showed central role influencing genes location on map. Our study first show link between involved progression, suggesting novel for This network EZH2 through WNT/β-catenin may have an important suggested high unfavorable prognosis our analysis.

The WSB1 Gene Is Involved in Pancreatic Cancer Progression

BACKGROUND Pancreatic cancer cells generate metastases because they can survive the stress imposed by the new environment of the host tissue. To mimic this process, pancreatic cancer cells which are not stressed in standard culture conditions are injected into nude mice. Because they develop xenografts, they should have developed adequate stress response. Characterizing that response might prov...

Growth factor involvement in progression of prostate cancer.

Understanding how the regulation of growth factor pathways alters during prostate cancer (PC) progression may enable researchers to develop targeted therapeutic strategies for advanced disease. PC progression involves the shifting of cells from androgen-dependent growth to an androgen-independent state, sometimes with the loss or mutation of the androgen receptors in PC cells. Both autocrine an...

Integrins in prostate cancer progression.

Integrins, which are transmembrane receptors for extracellular matrix proteins, play a key role in cell survival, proliferation, migration, gene expression, and activation of growth factor receptors. Their functions and expression are deregulated in several types of cancer, including prostate cancer. In this article, we review the role of integrins in prostate cancer progression and their poten...

HAVcR-1 involvement in cancer progression.

Formerly known for its importance in the immune system and kidney regeneration, it is becoming more apparent that HAVcR-1 an important protein in cancer biology. HAVcR-1 is overexpressed in numerous cancers and associates with critical molecules of tight junctions. Tight junctions are critical in homeostasis of cellular compartments via the maintenance of epithelia and endothelia however it has...

Involvement of COUP-TFs in Cancer Progression

The orphan receptors COUP-TFI and COUP-TFII are members of the nuclear receptor superfamily that play distinct and critical roles in vertebrate organogenesis, as demonstrated by loss-of-function COUP-TFI and/or COUP-TFII mutant mice. Although COUP-TFs are expressed in a wide range of tissues in adults, little is known about their functions at later stages of development or in organism homeostas...
