Worldwide Efficiency of Bioremediation Techniques for Organic Pollutants in Soil: A Brief Review
نویسندگان
چکیده
Soil pollution is a major human and environmental issue. Among the several components of soil degradation, organic contaminant in regarded as significant factor that causes considerable damage to environment along with health dangers humans. Polychlorinated biphenyls, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, polychlorinated dibenzofurans, poly-brominated fuels particularly gasoline diesel, herbicides, insecticides (carbamate organophosphorus) are by far most common forms pollutants identified soils. The employment living organisms such microorganisms plants bioremediation technology reduces/degrades, eliminates, transforms found soils, sediments, water. This review examine critically view efficiency techniques for polluted sites. technologies treatment bioventing, bio-sparging, bio-slurping, bio-augmentation, phytoremediation, bio-immobilization, bio-sorption, composting, land farming, aerobic co-metabolic natural attenuation. these depends on pH, type soil, level oxygen, any other electron acceptors, temperature, nutrients. Selection process upon pollutant, concentration contaminant, site source pollution. All not good all pollutants. Cost-effective mostly used worldwide they have more public acceptance. Pump treat methods were Past but due its non-reliability excessive cost, no longer use.

Bioremediation approaches for organic pollutants: a critical perspective.
Due to human activities to a greater extent and natural processes to some extent, a large number of organic chemical substances such as petroleum hydrocarbons, halogenated and nitroaromatic compounds, phthalate esters, solvents and pesticides pollute the soil and aquatic environments. Remediation of these polluted sites following the conventional engineering approaches based on physicochemical ...

متن کاملA review on enhancement techniques of electrokinetic soil remediation
During the last decade, the expansion of urbanization and industrial activities caused serious environmental problems such as soil pollution. Novel technologies are required to remediate soil contamination with toxic contaminants, including heavy metals and organic pollutants. In recent years, there have been increasing attempts to improve soil remediation efficiency. Electrokinetic (EK) is an ...
