Workplace Commitment Among Nurses in Edo State Nigeria: A Cross-Sectional Study

Aim: To assess the level of workplace commitment among Nurses in Edo state tertiary health institutions. Design: A cross-sectional study. Method: An adapted self-administered questionnaire was utilised for data collection, 326 nurses were administered a between October 4th to November 12th, 2021 working and identify relationship categorical variable (gender, age length service). Statistical Package Social Science (SPSS) version 25 Chi-Square test used analysis. The result presented tables. Result: Ninety-five per cent (310) participants filled returned their questionnaire, respondent 66.8% female. Regarding sub-construct, affective continuance saw 44.13% 42.64% disagreement respectively while 42.57% agreed on normative. participants, (41.81%) expressed low levels there no significant variables commitment. Conclusion: is not good phenomenon institutions as this may reduce nurses' output necessitate intent leave another care facility either within or outside shores Nigeria adding stress remaining healthcare worker. Therefore, it expedient improve rewards accordingly, ensure leadership style, involve them policy-making hospital attachment identification with place work.
