Physician work–life balance has gained significant attention in the last few years as rates of burnout among physicians have increased. Burnout is defined a state mental and physical exhaustion caused by one's professional life.[1] It leads to exhaustion, cynicism, adversely affected work productivity, patient outcomes, interpersonal relationships. Although applies all professions, find it especially hard achieve, with almost half U.S. surgeons being unsatisfied their dynamic.[2]
