Women’s Pure Land Buddhism in the Kamakura Period

In this paper I study the Ensai ganmon ゑんさい願文, a composition of Kamakura period （1185-1333）, and discuss Pure Land beliefs that time. The were encorporated inside image Maitreya Bodhisattva Shōmyōji Temple 称名寺, established by Hōjō Sanetoki 北条実時 （1224-1276）. was written wife Sanetoki, one daughters Masamura北条政村 （1205-1273）.
