Winter Wheat Cultivar Recommendation Based on Expected Environment Productivity

نویسندگان

چکیده

We used 5 years of data from multi-environmental trials conducted in Poland to assess average winter wheat yield based on selected environmental factors recommend cultivars depending their performance environments different productivity. Average expected yields particular were calculated using a model analysis covariance (ANCOVA), which describes the relationship between and soil suitability pH, drought length Selyaninov’s Hydrothermal Coefficient (HTC) 10-day periods. The cultivar was evaluated linear regression. estimated by mixed considered dependent variable, whereas mean yields, ANCOVA, independent variables. ranked according determined Higher yielding divided into two groups: widely narrowly adapted cultivars, then recommended. novelty this study stems consideration productivity recommendation process, indication be grown broad range sites selection with narrow adaptation, may outperform wide adaptation homogeneous fields. This confirmed importance HTC for yield. Direct application our results is possible other countries similar conditions.

Cultivar Mixture Cropping Increased Water Use Efficiency in Winter Wheat under Limited Irrigation Conditions

The effects of cultivar mixture cropping on yield, biomass, and water use efficiency (WUE) in winter wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) were investigated under non-irrigation (W0, no irrigation during growth stage), one time irrigation (W1, irrigation applied at stem elongation) and two times irrigation (W2, irrigation applied at stem elongation and anthesis) conditions. Nearly 90% of cultivar mixtur...

Monitoring Winter Wheat Freeze Injury Based on Multi-Temporal Data

Winter wheat freeze injury is one of the most serious damages in northern China. Timely and accurately monitoring freeze injury can provide quantitative damage assessment and decision support for after-injury field management. Freeze injury stress is directly related to the deviation of winter wheat population. This paper aimed to monitor the spatial-temporal distribution as well as the severit...

Projections of uncertainties in climate change scenarios into expected winter wheat yields

The crop model CERES-Wheat in combination with the stochastic weather generator were used to quantify the effect of uncertainties in selected climate change scenarios on the yields of winter wheat, which is the most important European cereal crop. Seven experimental sites with the high quality experimental data were selected in order to evaluate the crop model and to carry out the climate chang...
