Winter Wheat and Spring Barley Canopies under Strip-Till One-Pass Technology

چکیده

Modern agriculture promotes non-inversion, ploughless tillage systems, and simplified plant cultivation methods. Environmentally friendly production technologies must nevertheless guarantee high yields of good quality. In the years 2017/18–2019/20, studies were carried out in which it was assumed that these conditions could be met by strip soil with simultaneous application fertilisers paired-row sowing (strip-till one-pass (ST-OP). Two field experiments conducted to compare two cereal technologies: ploughless, non-inversion tillage, seedbed preparation, entire-surface fertilisation, narrowly spaced row (PL-ES); ST-OP, narrow rows (12 cm apart) a tilled (paired-row sowing), fertilised soil, 24.4-cm-wide inter-row untilled soil. Fields winter wheat spring barley investigated, assessing density spatial variation, height, yield components, yield. The morphological physiological indices plants canopies determined leaf area index (LAI), photosynthetically active radiation (PAR), stomatal conductance, relative chlorophyll content leaves. ST-OP technology provides uniform planting canopy, especially under insufficient rainfall. cultivated this method featured shorter more stalks spikes, spikes greater weight number grains, than fields cereals grown PL-ES. LAI PAR inter-rows similar PL-ES higher wide, inter-rows. Leaves contained had conductance. This technology, yields, is an alternative sowing.

Long-term continuous cropping in the Pacific Northwest: Tillage and fertilizer effects on winter wheat, spring wheat, and spring barley production

Conventional tillage winter wheat (Triticum aestivum) (WW)–summer fallow reduces soil productivity and increases soil erosion. Conservation tillage management, together with intensive cropping may have the potential to reverse these sustainability concerns. The objective of this study was to determine the effects of conventional tillage (CT) and no-tillage (NT) systems on grain yield of long-te...

Genetic Architecture of Anther Extrusion in Spring and Winter Wheat

Hybrid wheat breeding is gaining prominence worldwide because it ensures higher and more static yield than conventionally bred varieties. The cleistogamous floral architecture of wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) impedes anthers inside the floret, making it largely an inbreeder. For hybrid seed production, high anther extrusion is needed to promote cross pollination and to ensure a high level of pol...

Optimizing Strip-Till and No-Till Systems for Corn

Recent developments in biofuel demand and the rapid adoption of modern transgenic hybrids are changing production systems towards more corn after corn, more intensive tillage, higher plant populations, and ever higher crop residue levels at harvest. Meeting society’s needs for food, feed, and fuel from grain corn, and in the future from corn stover, requires continued refinement of tillage syst...

Water Stress Effects on Winter and Spring Leaves Anatomy of Different Wheat (Triticumaestivum L.) Genotypes

Water stress effects on winter and spring leaves anatomy were investigated in experiments conducted at the experimental field of SB University of Kerman using five wheat cultivars.Xylem and phloem elements diameter and mesophyll, bundle sheath and epidermal cells area were measured in transverse sections prepared from middle parts of the leaves. Results showed that significant difference exists...

Growth Response of Winter Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) and Wild Barley (Hordeum spontaneum Koch) to Nitrogen

A greenhouse study was conducted to investigate the effects of nitrogen (N) on wild barley (Hordeum spontaneum Koch) interference with winter wheat (Triticum aestivum var. Pishtaz) by an additive series experiment. The experiment was conducted in a split plot design with 3 replications. Wheat plant height losses were on average 30, 10, and 10% in a wild barley density of 16 plants per pot with ...
