Willingness to share personal health information: impact of attitudes, trust and control

Purpose This study aims to explicate the behavioral factors that determine willingness share personal health data for secondary uses. Design/methodology/approach A theoretical model is developed and tested with structural equation modeling using survey from Finland. Findings It shown attitude toward information sharing strongest factor contributing (PHI). Trust control serve as mediating between PHI. Research limitations/implications The measures of need further refinement cover various aspects concepts. Practical implications provides useful insights into affect in care other areas where distributed. Social Sharing PHI purposes can offer social benefits through improvements health-care performance. Originality/value broad-scale empirical gives a unique view attitudes one national setting.
