Naṣīḥat al-muḥibb fÄ« dhamm al-takassub bi-l-á¹ibb, a largely autobiographical treatise by the otherwise unknown Cairene physician IbrÄhÄ«m ibn YuḥannÄ al-WajÄ«h al-QalyÅ«bÄ« (fl. second half of seventh century AH/ thirteenth CE), offers unique account lives street medical practitioners. Although written as piece advice warning students about dangers that practice medicine poses for them in this world and hereafter, work is treasure trove information life physicians beyond walls court attitude common people towards their art.
