چکیده

The massive scale of new-generation rural-urban migrants in China has attracted extensive scholarly attention recent years. While previous studies on China’s rural migrant workers focus migrants’ individual settlement intentions, migrant’s family migration decision-making and the intergenerational differences between old-generation are underexplored. Based data 2017 Migrants Dynamic Survey, this paper adopts a multilevel logistic regression approach to explore destination factors influencing decision new generation workers. empirical results reveal that both attributes significantly influence their decision. demographic socioeconomic characteristics have been pivotal underlying migrants, while 16.9% chances is explained by between-destination differences. Self-employed with housing properties host cities, long duration high-income level more likely migrate members. Yet, possibility found be negatively correlated age, education level, number children inter-provincial mobility In addition, cities service-oriented industry structure, better environmental quality, higher hukou barriers which possibly related job opportunities. These research findings not only complement existing literature but also important policy implications for reforming system enhancing social integration rural-to-urban population.

Multilevel Logistic Regression Analysis Applied to Binary Contraceptive Prevalence Data

In public health, demography and sociology, large-scale surveys often follow a hierarchical data structure as the surveys are based on multistage stratified cluster sampling. The appropriate approach to analyzing such survey data is therefore based on nested sources of variability which come from different levels of the hierarchy. When the variance of the residual errors is correlated between i...

Intermediate and advanced topics in multilevel logistic regression analysis

Multilevel data occur frequently in health services, population and public health, and epidemiologic research. In such research, binary outcomes are common. Multilevel logistic regression models allow one to account for the clustering of subjects within clusters of higher-level units when estimating the effect of subject and cluster characteristics on subject outcomes. A search of the PubMed da...
