چکیده
The Grindelwald Fluctuation (1560–1630) was a cooling phase during the ‘Little Ice Age’ (c.1300–1850). Poor weather contributed to harvest failures, mass starvation and political crises across globe. This paper examines information taken from Bristol chronicles that discuss some of extreme events period. entries support notion featured extraordinarily poor weather, such as great frosts, floods, severe storms, unseasonal snowfalls droughts.

The relation between the number of sunspots and fluctuation in the trend of climatic components in Iran during recent decades
This analysis was conducted on 31 synoptic stations in Iran. Initially, the Mann-Kendall test was administered in order to analyse the trend of alterations of these two components over time and the results suggest that 16% of the stations show significant relationship with annual precipitation (positive and negative). More stations showed significant relationships between sunspots and minimum a...

متن کاملWorrying about weird winters
Winter is a key determinant of biological processes in temperate, alpine, and polar environments. Winters are changing, yet we currently lack the knowledge to adequately predict the impacts of climate change on winter biology, or to link winter conditions to the growing-season performance of most organisms.
