Weed diversity as affected by tillage and ammonium glufosinate herbicide

چکیده

ABSTRACT Farmers in Indonesia generally spray herbicides to control weeds and use tillage during the early stages of crop cultivation; consequently, these activities affect weed composition diversity. This study aimed evaluate dominance diversity index obtain abundance correlations according soil chemical characteristics, as well effect ammonium glufosinate herbicide, different systems. A non-factorial randomized block design was used, consisting no-tillage (NT), 1-time (T1) 2-times (T2), with three replications. The Cyperus rotundus Ageratum conyzoides species were dominant tillages. indices 2.261, 2.196 2.234 (moderate/stable condition), respectively for NT, T1 T2. For T2, there increases 2.82-folds, 41 populations 2.43-folds, A. conyzoides, Cynodon dactylon Euphorbia heterophylla, when compared while a decrease observed grasses T2 (50.71 26.05 %, respectively). Moreover, positive significant correlation E. heterophylla cation exchange capacity (0.727). In contrast, four new (Glyceria maxima, Leersia oryzoides, Scoparia dulcis Anthoxanthum oculatum) found due application,

Comparison of Glufosinate-Based Herbicide Programs for Broad-Spectrum Weed Control in Glufosinate-Resistant Soybean

Because of the increasing number of glyphosate-resistant weeds, alternate herbicide-resistant crops and herbicides with different modes of action are required to protect crop yield. Glufosinate is a broad-spectrum POST herbicide for weed control in glufosinate-resistant crops, including soybean. The objective of this study was to compare herbicide programs with glufosinate applied singly at lat...

Perinatal Exposure to Glufosinate Ammonium Herbicide Impairs Neurogenesis and Neuroblast Migration through Cytoskeleton Destabilization

Neurogenesis, a process of generating functional neurons from neural precursors, occurs throughout life in restricted brain regions such as the subventricular zone (SVZ). During this process, newly generated neurons migrate along the rostral migratory stream to the olfactory bulb to replace granule cells and periglomerular neurons. This neuronal migration is pivotal not only for neuronal plasti...

Conservation Tillage and Weed Management

Tillage has long been an essential component of traditional agricultural systems. Broadly defined, tillage is the mechanical manipulation of the soil and plant residues to prepare a seedbed for crop planting. The benefits of tillage are many: it loosens soil, enhances the release of nutrients from the soil for crop growth, kills weeds, and regulates the circulation of water and air within the s...

Palmer Amaranth and Barnyardgrass Control as Influenced by Weed Size, Glufosinate Rate, Volume, and Spray Tip

Palmer amaranth (Amaranthus palmeri) is known to be glyphosate-resistant and one of the most common and troublesome weeds in Arkansas cotton production. Glufosinate is known to provide good control of 1-4 inch Palmer amaranth, but control of larger weeds is erratic. The lack of control provided by glufosinate on large weeds may be caused by coverage issues. The objective of this study was to ev...
