Abstract Concurrent hot extremes and droughts undoubtedly aggravate the impacts of on agriculture, natural environment, human society. Recent studies mainly focus trends changes in frequency severity compound drought extreme events. However, relatively little attention has been paid to mean temperature during conditions.
