The aim of this study is to explore the predictive value vocabulary breadth and depth together with classical variables phonological awareness, naming speed alphabetic knowledge in explaining progress initial learning reading writing a sample 162 students 3rd year kindergarten. Early detection risks read essential be able intervene proactively if signs dyslexia are found. skills that predict successful literacy acquisition may useful identify risk indicators disabilities early childhood education. results found confirm contribution reveal especially seems good predictor success performance. educational implications these findings discussed.
