In this study, we aimed to determine the effect of domestic and agricultural discharge on level antioxidant vitamins A, E, C, β-carotene malondialdehyde (MDA, an indicator oxidative stress) in muscle tissue freshwater mussel as known bioindicator (Unio elongatulus eucirrus). The mussels were collected from Arguvan (uncontaminated reference site) Battalgazi (exposed Karakaya Dam Lake. order examine these two different regions, β carotene Malondialdehyde (MDA) levels analyzed using High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC). comparison between groups localities showed that concentrations MDA found statistically significant according (p<0.05) results higher lower site.
