Visuo-motor attention during object interaction in children with developmental coordination disorder

چکیده
Developmental coordination disorder (DCD) describes a condition of poor motor performance in the absence intellectual impairment. Despite being one most prevalent developmental disorders, little is known about how fundamental visuomotor processes might function this group. One idea children with DCD interact their environment less predictive fashion than typically developing children. A metric prediction which has not been examined group degree to hands and eyes are coordinated when performing manual tasks. To end, we hand eye movements during an object lifting task (n = 19) age-matched without 39). We observed no differences between groups terms well they objects, nor by led hand. thus find evidence support proposition that coordinate non-predictive fashion. In follow-up exploratory analysis did, however, note patterns groups, showing some atypical visual sampling strategies gaze anchoring behaviours task.

Attention during functional tasks is associated with motor performance in children with developmental coordination disorder
This cross-sectional and exploratory study aimed to compare motor performance and electroencephalographic (EEG) attention levels in children with developmental coordination disorder (DCD) and those with typical development, and determine the relationship between motor performance and the real-time EEG attention level in children with DCD.Eighty-six children with DCD [DCD: n = 57; DCD and attent...

Objectives: Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD) is a motor skill disorder which impacts upon a child, s ability to perform age-appropriate activity of daily living and academic performance. They have problems in gross & fine motors, their upper limb coordination are impaired, too. In this way, we decided to compare motors skills with BOTMP test in children with DCD and their normal peers....
متن کاملSensory-motor deficits in children with developmental coordination disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and autistic disorder.
Children who have been diagnosed with any one developmental disorder are very likely to meet diagnostic criteria for some other developmental disorder. Although comorbidity has long been acknowledged in childhood disorders, little is understood about the mechanisms that are responsible for the high level of comorbidity. In a series of studies, we have investigated the link between sensory-motor...
متن کاملcomparison of balance in children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder with and without developmental coordination disorder
introduction: attention deficit / hyperactivity disorder (adhd) is a persistent pattern of inattention and/or hyperactivity - impulsivity behavior. adhd is frequently accompanied by developmental coordination disorder (dcd). motor coordination is a complex performance of interaction between visual perceptual, neuromuscular coordination, memory, attention and balance. one of the most important p...

Sensory processing and higher integrative functions impairments are highly prevalent in children with ASD. Context should be considered in analyzing the sensory profile and higher integrative functions. The main objective of this study is to compare sensory processing, social participation and praxis in a group of 79 children (65 males and 14 females) from 5 to 8 years of age (M = 6.0...
