Virtual Reality and Productivity in Knowledge Workers

Productivity has a significant impact on success and monetary wellbeing of every organisation. Over the past few years, substantial developments digital technologies have encouraged shift in way we work produce, from an office-based environment to “virtual work”. However, very little is known as how virtual productivity can be supported by reality (VR). We conducted two studies extend previous research relation VR: Study one examined routes that connect organisational context with individual position through lens remote working distributed collaboration; explored nature connections between individuals teams VR. Based findings future VR could enact knowledge workers’ daily productivity. This was done developing framework represents physical, environmental, cognitive, behavioural needs ensure growth. Theoretical practical implications are discussed.
