چکیده
This study aims to determine the effectiveness of veno-venous Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation on recovery COVID-19 patients with Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome and factors that support its point. The method used in this research is a literature search from several online databases. results showed ten articles reviewed, was supported by workings itself role perfusion/perfusionist nurses management. One way working cases severe respiratory failure facilitate direct exchange oxygen carbon dioxide blood. Meanwhile, perfusionist responsible for operation ECMO machine patient care monitoring while installed. In conclusion, overall, article describes Syndrome.

Venovenous Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation for Postoperative Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome
BACKGROUND Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) has recently attracted interest as a treatment for severe acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). However, the outcomes of this procedure in post-surgical settings have not yet been characterized. In this study, we evaluated the outcomes of ECMO in patients with severe postoperative ARDS. METHODS From January 2007 to December 2012, a t...
متن کاملExtracorporeal membrane oxygenation for acute respiratory distress syndrome
Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) can be a lifesaving therapy in patients with refractory severe respiratory failure or cardiac failure. Severe acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) still has a high-mortality rate, but ECMO may be able to improve the outcome. Use of ECMO for respiratory failure has been increasing since 2009. Initiation of ECMO for adult ARDS should be considered ...
متن کاملVeno–veno–arterial extracorporeal membrane oxygenation treatment in patients with severe acute respiratory distress syndrome and septic shock
In acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) with refractory septic shock, isolated veno–venous (VV) or veno–arterial (VA) extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) may lead to differential hypoxia or inadequate tissue perfusion [1]. In this context, MacLaren et al. [2] showed that central ECMO improved the outcomes by guaranteeing systemic oxygenation without differential hypoxia. However, c...
متن کاملVeno-venous extracorporeal membrane oxygenation in a patient with severe acute respiratory failure – case report
Acute respiratory failure resistant to conventional pulmonary therapy often requires intensive medical care. In rare cases, ventilator therapy proves insufficient, and only the option of employing veno-venous extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO V-V) remains. The present article describes the case of a 23-year-old patient who experienced severe acute respiratory distress syndrome with asso...

PURPOSE The objective of this study was to evaluate our institutional experience with veno-venous (VV) extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) in patients with severe acute respiratory failure (ARF). MATERIALS AND METHODS From January 2007 to August 2013, 31 patients with severe ARF that was due to various causes and refractory to mechanical ventilation with conventional therapy were suppo...
