Vehicle Pollutant Dispersion in the Urban Atmospheric Environment: A Review of Mechanism, Modeling, and Application

نویسندگان

چکیده

In recent years, vehicle emissions have become one of the important pollutant sources urban atmosphere. Scholars and decision-makers are constantly expected to accurately grasp dispersion pollutants formulate a series policies strategies which can facilitate friendly sustainable environment, such as controlling total number vehicles, requiring higher emission standards, promoting new energy improving public transit service, optimizing non-motorized transportation systems. This paper provides review mechanism research methods mathematical modeling approaches for dispersion. The reviewed include field measurements, wind tunnel experiments, numerical simulations. involve two kinds popular models: Box models (STREET, CPBM, AURORA, PBM) Gaussian (CALINE, HIWAY, OSPM, CALPUFF, R-LINE, ADMS series, EPISODE, CityChem, SIRANE, MUNICH). Moreover, this clarifies basic assumption, fundamental principle, related research, applicable conditions, limitations these approaches.

CFD simulation of near-field pollutant dispersion in the urban environment: A review of current modeling techniques

Near-field pollutant dispersion in the urban environment involves the interaction of a plume and the flow field perturbed by building obstacles. In the past two decades, micro-scale Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulation of pollutant dispersion around buildings and in urban areas has been widely used, sometimes in lieu of wind tunnel testing. This paper reviews current modeling technique...

Atmospheric dispersion model to predict the impact of gaseous pollutant in an industrial and mining cluster

Dispersion modeling approach was applied for the determination of SO2 and NO2 pollution in the ambient air. The model performance has been evaluated by comparing the measured and predicted concentrations of SO2 and NO2. This has been tested to measure the air quality and predicted incremental value of pollutant’s concentrations by using the data avail...

Emergence and Dispersion of Resistance Genes by the Aquatic Environment: a review

The association of the emergence of bacterial resistance to clinical environments is common; however, aquatic environments, especially the polluted ones, also play a key role in this regard. Aquatic environments can act as facilitator for the exchange of mobile elements, responsible for resisting antibiotics. They even may stimulate the emergence and selection of these elements through contamin...
