Vegan world-making in meat-centric society: the embodied geographies of veganism

The question of the human body – whose matters, where, when, and how much has long been concern in geographical thinking. Vegan geographies pose a challenge to this ‘body,’ bringing critical concerns for about animal bodies. In paper, interviews with vegans based Britain are used discuss role embodiment veganism, social, cultural political movement that relatively under-studied geography. Drawing on feminist embodied theory, paper discusses three spaces veganism: (1) establishing vegan cultures through building shared ‘truth narratives’; (2) shifting veganism beyond individualism meat-centric society; (3) as world-making project, stretching into social space.
