Varied phenomenology of models displaying dynamical large-deviation singularities

چکیده
Singularities of dynamical large-deviation functions are often interpreted as the signal a phase transition and coexistence distinct phases, by analogy with correspondence between singularities free energies equilibrium behavior. Here we study models driven random walkers on lattice. These display in limit large lattice size, but extent to which each model's phenomenology resembles depends details driving. We also compare behavior ergodic non-ergodic that present singularities. argue indicate divergence model timescale, not necessarily one associated cooperative or existence phases.

Some Large Deviation Results for Dynamical Systems
We prove some large deviation estimates for continuous maps of compact metric spaces and apply them to attractors in differentiable dynamics, rate of escape problems, and to shift spaces. Introduction Consider a discrete time dynamical system generated by a self-map /: X O of some domain X. Let m be a reference measure on X, and let <p : X —► R be an observable. Suppose that £ J2"fx <p ° f conv...
متن کاملLarge Deviation Principle for General Occupancy Models
We use process level large deviation analysis to obtain the rate function for a general family of occupancy problems. Our interest is the asymptotics of the empirical distributions of various quantities (such as the fraction of urns that contain a given number of balls). In the general setting, balls are allowed to land in a given urn depending on the urn’s contents prior to the throw. We discu...
متن کاملA Large-deviation View on Dynamical Gibbs-non-gibbs Transitions
We develop a space-time large-deviation point of view on Gibbs-non-Gibbs transitions in spin systems subject to a stochastic spinflip dynamics. Using the general theory for large deviations of functionals of Markov processes outlined in a recent book by Feng and Kurtz, we show that the trajectory under the spin-flip dynamics of the empirical measure of the spins in a large block in Z satisfies ...
متن کاملLarge Deviation Principle and Inviscid Shell Models
A LDP is proved for the inviscid shell model of turbulence. As the viscosity coefficient ν converges to 0 and the noise intensity is multiplied by ν , we prove that some shell models of turbulence with a multiplicative stochastic perturbation driven by a H-valued Brownian motion satisfy a LDP in ([0, T],V ) for the topology of uniform convergence on [0, T], but where V is endowed with a topolog...
متن کاملDynamical Aspects of Large N Reduced Models
We study the large N reduced model of D-dimensional Yang-Mills theory with special attention to dynamical aspects related to the eigenvalues of the N×N matrices, which correspond to the space-time coordinates in the IIB matrix model. We first put an upper bound on the extent of space time by perturbative arguments. We perform a Monte Carlo simulation and show that the upper bound is actually sa...
