چکیده

The Vapor Phase Impregnation decomposition method (VP-IDM) is presented in this study as an alternative technique to obtain well-dispersed metallic nanoparticles on CNTs, for ammonia (NH3) gas detection. We have analyzed the effectiveness of by using chemiresistive sensors (CHRs) based multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) decorated with Pt and Pd (NPs). measured their sensitivity through electrical resistance variation presence NH3 at concentrations from 10 200 ppm. Pt/MWCNTs showed highest about 120% 100 ppm 250 °C. It was revealed that size, dispersion, temperature type metal NPs deposited MWCNTs are crucial detection CHRs.

Multilevel PWM Waveform Decomposition and Phase-Shifted Carrier Technique

Multilevel PWM waveforms can be decomposed into several multilevel PWM components. Phase-shifted carrier (PSC) is an efficient decomposition technique. In this paper, we have first demonstrated the equality of PSC and alternative phase opposition disposition techniques. Second, we have modified PSC to accommodate other disposition techniques. Third, we have investigated the effects of using...

Quantitative vapor-phase infrared spectrometry of ammonia.

Reference spectra of ammonia from four sources are compared. Low-resolution spectra (i.e., spectra for which the spectrometer resolution is numerically greater than the full-width at half-height of the rotational lines) were obtained from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) web site and from Infrared Analysis, Inc. High-resolution (0.12 cm-1) spectra were obtained from the National Instit...

Sulfur Impregnation on Activated Carbon Fibers through H2S Oxidation for Vapor Phase Mercury Removal

Sulfur was impregnated onto activated carbon fibers ACFs through H2S oxidation catalyzed by the sorbent surface in a fixed-bed reactor. By changing the temperature and duration of the sulfur impregnation process, ACFs with different sulfur contents were developed. Characterization of ACFs before and after sulfur impregnation was conducted by surface area analysis, energy dispersive X-ray analys...
