Validation of Rain Thickness Model Based on GPM Satellite and Surface Measurements

The limited acquisition of rainfall data from the Climatological Station Deli Serdang has resulted in constraints on research several fields. Global Precipitation Measurement (GPM) spatial and temporal advantages as a solution to this problem. This study aims provide information rain thickness equation model based Satellite an alternative calculating at Serdang. Data were used, covering period January 1 December 31, 2021. Rescaled Adjusted Partial Sums (RAPS) method was used verify quality, two consistent. obtained using simple linear regression method. At same time, validation with surface measurements Root Mean Square Error (RMSE), Nash Sutcliffe Efficiency (NSE), Correlation Coefficient (R) methods. findings demonstrate that close Serdang, RMSE value 5.85 mm, NSE 0.99 R 0.99.
