Vaccine Quality Is a Key Factor to Determine Thermal Stability of Commercial Newcastle Disease (ND)Vaccines

چکیده
Vaccination against Newcastle disease (ND), a devastating viral of chickens, is often hampered by thermal inactivation the live vaccines, in particular tropical and hot climate conditions. In past, “thermostable” vaccine strains (I-2) were proposed to overcome this problem but previous comparative studies did not include formulation-specific factors commercial vaccines. current study, we aimed verify superior stability commercially formulated I-2 comparing six available ND Subjected 37 °C as lyophilized preparations, two vaccines containing more sensitive than third or compared three other based on different strains. However, reconstitution proved have comparable tenacity. Interestingly, all still retained sufficient virus dose for protection (106 EID50) after 1 day at °C. These results suggest that there are specific influence beyond strain-specific characteristics. Exposing elevated temperatures 51 61 demonstrated dissolved including occurred within 2 4 h. The revealed important differences among emphasize importance quality certain preparation rather strain it contains. data highlight regardless used preparation, appropriate cold chain mandatory keeping efficiency climates.

Efficacy of thermostable I-2 Newcastle disease vaccine compared to B1 commercial vaccine in broiler chicken
Frequent vaccination failures have occurred in the broiler farms in Eurasian countries during Newcastle disease outbreaks. The disease is enzootic in many countries of the region, especially in southwest Asia. I-2 vaccine has been used successfully in village chickens in many Asian and African countries. Our preliminary study showed good efficacy of the vaccine in broiler chickens. Therefore th...

Background and Aims: Newcastle disease (ND) is a highly contagious disease in poultry with economic losses in the world. Vaccination is one of the most important ways for prevention and control of NDV, but there are reports of ND outbreaks in vaccinated chickens. Poor quality of the vaccines is one of the reasons of vaccine failure. In this study the quality of two commercial oil-emulsion Newca...
متن کاملImprovement of Thermal Stability of BCG Vaccine
Background: Thermal stability (TS) is a part of the BCG vaccine characterization by which the consistency of process in BCG vaccine production could be confirmed. To enhance the TS of the vaccine, some prevalent stabilizers in different concentrations were added to the final formulation of BCG bulk prior to Freeze-drying process. We found a formulation more effective than the current stabilizer...
متن کاملNewcastle Disease Virus Vectored Bivalent Vaccine against Virulent Infectious Bursal Disease and Newcastle Disease of Chickens
Newcastle disease virus (NDV) strain F is a lentogenic vaccine strain used for primary vaccination in day-old chickens against Newcastle disease (ND) in India and Southeast Asian countries. Recombinant NDV-F virus and another recombinant NDV harboring the major capsid protein VP2 gene of a very virulent infectious bursal disease virus (IBDV); namely rNDV-F and rNDV-F/VP2, respectively, were gen...
متن کاملNewcastle Disease Virus Fusion Protein Is the Major Contributor to Protective Immunity of Genotype-Matched Vaccine
Virulent strains of Newcastle disease virus (NDV) can cause devastating disease in chickens worldwide. Although the current vaccines are substantially effective, they do not completely prevent infection, virus shedding and disease. To produce genotype-matched vaccines, a full-genome reverse genetics system has been used to generate a recombinant virus in which the F protein cleavage site has be...
