V-037 LAPAROSCOPIC REPAIR OF FORAMEN OF WINSLOW HERNIA CONTAINING THE RIGHT COLON

Abstract Aim A 74-year-old woman with hypothyroidism, dyslipidaemia and past abdominal surgeries presented severe pain, nausea, bloating anorexia. On clinical examination, the abdomen was soft tenderness on palpation in epigastrium. The laboratory workup revealed leukocytosis. Abdominal CT showed caecum, ascending colon, hepatic flexure herniated lesser sac through Foramen of Winslow. Even though initial plan conservative management, hernia persistent not resolving repeat scan. decision made to proceed laparoscopic exploration. We aim present a video repair Winslow hernia. Material methods Laparoscopy free intrabdominal fluid part right colon sac. reduced manually, inspected, revealing no signs ischemia. As caecum very mobile, caecopexy performed by suturing cecum lateral wall using non-absorbable interrupted sutures. operation three ports, 10 mm infraumbilcal port for scope two 5 ports lower quadrant abdomen. Results Recovery uneventful, patient discharged following day. In follow-up, pain had completely resolved, her quality life significantly improved. Conclusions This challenging case from technical decision-making point view, good outcome complications.
