As an appropriate quantity of hydroquinone (HQ) is essential to safeguard inhibition characteristics by eliminating the risk self-polymerization vinyl acetate monomer (VAM), determination HQ content in VAM very crucial ensure stability during storage and transportation as well achieve possibility a proper polymerization reaction. In this study, simple, cheap, time-saving, easy method has been developed which can be measured quickly based on measurement UV-Vis absorbance at 293 nm using methanol blank. No color development required for process, directly without any further processing. The limit detection, quantification, linearity range, accuracy, precision, robustness, uncertainty have analyzed found within acceptable range. shows 0.36–25.0 ppm solution range with regression coefficient 0.9999, relative spike recovery 101.35%, precision 1.36%, bias 0.55%, robustness temperature variation −5 °C.
