Utilizing dynamic shading system to achieve daylight performance according to LEED standards V.4: case study, university classrooms in Egypt

In the climate-change period, all countries strived to design sustainable buildings. As environmental influenced contributes decisions, save energy and achieve development indicator according Egypt Vision 2030. This can be achieved by accessing maximum of daylight, consequently facade has a major impact on daylight performance.This paper aims evaluate performance using dynamic shading, in university classroom Egypt. It also determine optimal angle for each hour shade’s movement. Based LEED 4 requirements IES, analysis was integrated DESIGNBUILDER V6, RADIANCE, DAYSIM programs.
