چکیده
The world is moving towards clean energy, especially since the Paris Agreement in 2016. Indonesia no exception, which must reach 23% of its total energy mix usage from renewable sources by 2025, as stated President Regulation No. 22/2017. Biomass a source can be used co-firing fuel for power plants based on calorific value. This study discusses some most important characteristics needed fuels, including slagging, fouling, and abrasion, using palm empty fruit bunch (EFB), rice husk (RH), EFB-RH blended with composition 5%, 15%, 25%, 35% low-rank coal (LRC) bituminous (BTC). results showed that addition biomass BTC has significant effect slagging fouling potential. Conversely, to LRC significantly reduced potential up EFB 20%. For blends 75% 25% blends, only 100% RH considered aspect risk. From abrasion characteristics, two types coals did not show any problem all compositions studied.

Air and Fuel Staged Co-combustion of Coal with Biomass in Power Station Boilers
The overall objective of this investigation is to develop a technology to employ biomass as substitute fuel for coal to help reduce NOx.. It was achieved by governing NOx formation kinetics through in-furnace air and fuel staged co-combustion technology. An extensive series of experimentation was carried out in a 20 kW down fired combustor to evaluate the effect of co-firing of Shea meal, Cotto...

Energy Analysis of a Biomass Co-firing Based Pulverized Coal Power Generation System
The results are reported of an energy analysis of a biomass/coal co-firing based power generation system, carried out to investigate the impacts of biomass co-firing on system performance. The power generation system is a typical pulverized coal-fired steam cycle unit, in which four biomass fuels (rice husk, pine sawdust, chicken litter, and refuse derived fuel) and two coals (bituminous coal a...
متن کاملProcessing Woody Debris Biomass for Co-Milling with Pulverized Coal
The USDA, Forest Service, Forest Products Lab funds several grants each year for the purpose of studying woody biomass utilization. One selected project proposed removing small diameter stems and unmerchantable woody material from National Forest lands and delivering it to a coal-fired power plant in Alabama for energy conversion. The Alabama Power Company will test the utilization of the woody...
متن کاملQuantification of radionuclides and associated radiological risk estimation of coal combustion residues from a South African coal-fired power plant
Background: Radionuclides occur in coal combustion residues, such as fly ash and bottom ash, which are by-products of coal combustion. They pose potential radiological risks to people present in the surrounding areas. Materials and Methods: Gamma spectrometry was performed to determine the radionuclide activity concentrations in a coal-driven power plant located in the Limpopo province, South A...
