Utility of Four-dimensional Computed Tomography Scan Following Endovasucular Aneurysm Repair

چکیده
Although endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR) has become standard care for abdominal aortic (AAA), AAA sac enlargement due to endoleaks is a big concern after mid-term follow-up. Secondary intervention planned according type of diagnosed by conventional enhanced computed tomography (CT) or ultrasonography (US). However, accurate diagnosis often difficult, which resulted in inappropriate method secondary including unnecessary exploratory laparotomy. Herein, we report usefulness four-dimensional CT (4D-CT) as the alternative diagnostic undetermined examinations. The patients who underwent EVAR our hospital from December 2007 September 2022 were subjects this study. was defined an increase diameter more than 5 mm. Measuring of Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm with Three-Dimensional Computed Tomography Reconstruction before Endovascular Aortic Aneurysm Repair
PURPOSE Conventional computed tomography (CT) is the gold standard method for case planning for endovascular aortic aneurysm repair (EVAR). However, aortography with a marking catheter is needed for measuring the actual length of an aneurysm. With advances in imaging technology, a 3-dimensional (3D) workstation can obviate the need for the aortography. The objective of this study was to determi...
متن کاملFour-dimensional computed tomography scan utility in parathyroidectomy for primary hyperparathyroidism with low baseline intact parathyroid hormone.
OBJECTIVES/HYPOTHESIS The prevalence of multiglandular disease (MGD) of the parathyroid has been reported to be higher in patients with primary hyperparathyroidism and low baseline intact parathyroid hormone (PTH) levels (<100 pg/mL). Low baseline PTH is associated with lower localization rate and positive predictive value with both preoperative sestamibi and ultrasound. This study sought to ev...
متن کاملRole of multidetector computed tomography in evaluating complications following endovascular repair of aortic aneurysm
OBJECTIVE To study the role of multidetector computed tomography (MDCT) in evaluating various complications following endovascular stenting of aortic aneurysms. MATERIALS AND METHODS Over a period of 2 years (June 2005 to June 2007), 50 patients with aortic aneurysm on computed tomography (CT) angiogram were prospectively studied. Images were acquired on a 64 slice multidetector row CT scanne...
متن کاملUtility of Computed Tomography following Anterior Cervical Diskectomy and Fusion
Study Design Retrospective case series. Objective To assess the utility of postoperative computed tomography (CT) following anterior cervical diskectomy and fusion (ACDF) and to determine the clinical circumstances most likely to lead to an abnormal CT scan. Methods Patients who underwent ACDF at a tertiary center over a span of 5 years were investigated. Only patients who had a minimum of 6 mo...
متن کاملAneurysm Wall Enhancement Detected by Contrast Computed Tomography Scan Is Associated With Aneurysm Shrinkage After Endovascular Aneurysm Repair for Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm.
BACKGROUND Aneurysm expansion, and consequent endoleaks, after endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR) is a major problem. Accurate prediction of aneurysm expansion is demanding for surgeons and remains difficult. Methods and Results:We retrospectively analyzed 157 cases of EVAR for abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) using a bifurcated main-body stent-graft. There were 62 cases of aneurysm shrinkage af...
