The presence of gypsum in soil has a high effect on the mechanical and physical properties soil. This depends fundamentally type quantity existent present study attempts to improve gypseous using new pozzolanic material discovered as from attapulgite clay. It is called “High Reactivity Attapulgite” HRA. objective this investigate ability be moderate stabilizer used for treating was obtained one location at depth 1 m with 28% content. High Attapulgite (HRA) replacement different percentage (5%, 10%, 20%, 40%). Experimental tests included Atterberg limits, modified compaction, strength, unconfined compression consolidation. Then all were conducted specimens HRA content that varied range 5-40%. results showed important soil, seen reduction collapse potential by about 13-90%, increase compressive strength 88 kPa 271 upon addition
