Using Fluorescence Spectroscopy to Detect Rot in Fruit and Vegetable Crops

The potential of the method fluorescence spectroscopy for detection damage and diseases fruits vegetables was studied. For this purpose, spectra healthy rotten apples potatoes have been investigated. Excitation samples carried out using a continuous semiconductor laser with wavelength 405 nm pulsed solid-state 527 nm. Peaks in region 600–700 were shifted towards shorter wavelengths most both modes spectroscopy. differences apple surface revealed to be spectral range 550–650 excitation. When exposed mode (527 nm), contribution 630 peak spectrum increases samples. observed make it possible use separating vegetables. article paid attention influence many factors such as sample thickness, time after excitation, contamination by soil dust, cultivar, location probing on spectra.
