Using an Iterative Algorithm to Predict Topography From Vertical Gravity Gradients and Ship Soundings

With the help of analytical expression vertical gravity gradient (VGG) generated by a rectangular prism, an algorithm for predicting seafloor topography using VGG data has been studied. Nevertheless, ship sounding are essential constraint in solving topography. This paper combines with anomaly to predict The main research contents include following: Using soundings and study area, observation equations about sea depth established, stability studied; furthermore, considering influence outside area on equations, these effects divided into boundary far-field effects, different processing methods proposed. Finally, method is tested East Pacific Rise, only adding mean value fix region, RMS error results 108.8 m; SIO's model added region seven maximum absolute errors replaced data, can reach 94.2 m accuracy improvement 13.42%.
