چکیده
For extensive coverage areas, multi-beam high throughput satellite (HTS) communication is a promising technology that plays crucial role in delivering broadband services to many users with diverse Quality of Service (QoS) requirements. This article focuses on HTS systems where all beams reuse the same spectrum. In particular, we propose novel user scheduling and power allocation design capable providing guarantees terms individual QoS requirements while maximizing system under limited budget. Precoding employed forward link mitigate mutual interference among multiple-access scenarios over different coherence time intervals. The combinatorial optimization structure from requires an extremely cost obtain global optimum even when reduced number fit into slot. Therefore, heuristic algorithm yielding good trade-off between performance computational complexity, applicable static operation framework geostationary (GEO) networks. Although signomial programming, non-convex standard form, solution can be lower bounded by geometric program hidden convex structure. A local joint problem consequently obtained successive approach. Numerical results demonstrate effectiveness our algorithms GEO networks better satisfaction combined outstanding overall throughput.

Power Allocation under Quality of Service Constraints for Uplink Multi-User Systems
In this contribution, we derive the optimal power allocation policy in the case of an uplink multiuser system under quality of service constraints. Interestingly, using asymptotic results (in the number of users and dimensions) of random matrix theory and under the assumption of Minimum Mean Square Error Successive Interference Cancellation (MMSE-SIC) at the base station, the results show that ...

Current State-of-the-Art High Throughput Satellite systems provide wide-area connectivity through multi-beam architectures. However, due to the tremendous system throughput requirements that next generation Satellite Communications expect to achieve, traditional 4-colour frequency reuse schemes, i.e., two frequency bands with two orthogonal polarisations, are not sufficient anymore and more agg...
