Use Seeds of Peach (Prunus persica L. Batsch) Growing Within Mosul City, in Water Purification

Abstract Hundred gram of large peach seeds were weighted and used as dried clean seeds. Part was grinding sieved to obtain fine size granules, with 3 mm an average. This grain is suitable for absorption ensures that the particles remain completely did not dissolved or passes water through contact treatment. Water samples collected from sources municipal uses in Mosul city, artesian wells different characteristics addition Tigris river analytic physical, chemical, heavy metals concentrations. Results shows Peach active improving quality water. The efficiency improvement by absorbance ions. Improvement are increase surface area increased also. Decrease concentrations ions causing pollution reaches 35%.
