Use of Technology Acceptance Model to Investigate the Acceptance of Learning Management System Amongst Academics using Selected Universities in Sri Lanka

This study aimed to investigate the technology acceptance of Moodle learning management system (LMS) amongst academics in public and private universities Sri Lanka. The was carried out 2019 before Covid-19 pandemic plaguing As a result e-learning adoption, LMS is very popular tool that used an environment around globe. population this research who teach Social Sciences & Humanities, Commerce Management Studies Computing Technology at University Kelaniya (UOK) Business, Humanities Lanka Institute Information (SLIIT). sample selected using Morgan table size 174 64 from UOK SLIIT. stratified random sampling get accurate population. A total 121 responded survey those were 60 university 61 university. online printed questionnaires distributed faculties such as Sciences, Studies, universities. objective paper develop theoretical framework by testing five variables Perceived Ease Use (PEOU), Usefulness (PU), Attitude toward use (ATU), Behavior Intention (BIU) Actual (AU) tested model Acceptance Model (TAM). Both types have been common which based on Moodle, called it ‘Computer Assisted Learning/CAL’ while ‘COURSE WEB’. findings indicate there strongest path coefficient between BIU AU both indicated highest coefficient. Further, no significant relationship shown perceived usefulness (PU) behavioural intention ease (PEOU) attitude towards (ATU)
