چکیده

The production of catalysts such as zeolites is a complex multiscale and multi-step process. Various material properties, particle size or moisture content, well operating parameters—e.g., temperature amount composition input flows—significantly affect the outcome each process step, hence determine properties final product. Therefore, design optimization processes task, which can be greatly facilitated with help numerical simulations. This contribution presents modeling framework for dynamic flowsheet simulation zeolite sequence consisting four stages: precipitation in batch reactor; concentration washing block centrifuges; formation droplets drying spray dryer; burning organic residues chain rotary kilns. techniques methods were used to develop applied models. For synthesis reactor, multistage strategy was used, comprising discrete element method simulations, data-driven surrogate modeling, population balance modeling. stage consisted several multicompartment decanter centrifuges alternating water mixers. described by co–current dryer model developed applying two-dimensional approach. kilns, multi-compartment describes gas–solid reaction counter–current solids gas flows.

a study on thermodynamic models for simulation of 1,3 butadiene purification columns

attempts have been made to study the thermodynamic behavior of 1,3 butadiene purification columns with the aim of retrofitting those columns to more energy efficient separation schemes. 1,3 butadiene is purified in two columns in series through being separated from methyl acetylene and 1,2 butadiene in the first and second column respectively. comparisons have been made among different therm...

An Algorithm for the Use of Surrogate Models in Modular Flowsheet Optimization

In this work a methodology is presented for the rigorous optimization of nonlinear programming problems in which the objective function and (or) some constraints are represented by noisy implicit black box functions. The special application considered is the optimization of modular process simulators in which the derivatives are not available and some units operations introduce noise preventing...
