چکیده
Introduction Methylphenidate (MPH) is used to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and has shown unique benefits in children adolescents with autism spectrum (ASD). In addition improving attention, hyperactivity, repetitive movement, it also improves cognition ASD. Our focus explore the understudied safety of methylphenidate use for ASD children. Objectives 1) To study response benefit autistic kids improve life function. 2) assess profile risks using at different doses as a guiding tool prescribing physicians. Methods A literature search was conducted relevant medical subject headings (MeSH) terms PubMed, Medline, PubMed Central. We identified all published articles from inception until September 30, 2022. Initial results found 41 studies, which 15 were excluded they did not meet inclusion exclusion criteria. After thorough full-text review, we included 5 studies our final qualitative synthesis review. Results have increasing cognitive processing speed, thus everyday function ADHD compared only ADHD, clinical significance p<0.001. Stimulants may social situations interactions or functions due this (Peled, J et al. Nordic journal psychiatry 2020; 74 (3), 163–167) clinically significant performance gain on tasks linear dose-response three (10 mg, 20 mg) methylphenidate. made significantly fewer omission errors, [F(3,69) = 7.21, p < 0.001], commission errors 4.64, 0.005] MPH, placebo. They showed more higher MPH doses, 10.45, 0.001]. Thus, faster, accurate, had (Pearson, D. A. Journal child adolescent psychopharmacology 30 (7), 414–426). There no serious side effects suicidality reported low dose medium assessed Response Impressions Side Effects Checklist-Kids (RISC-K), 38-item parent rating scale (Kim, S. J. developmental disorders 2017; 47(8), 2307–2313). Conclusions The findings support positive No adverse noted. Multi-center well-designed are recommended determine further efficacy cognition.
