Usability evaluation of a nursing information system by applying cognitive walkthrough method

The user interface usability of the nursing information system (NIS) should be such that nurses can learn and interact with it easily quickly. Therefore, is necessary to identify solve problems these systems. present study aimed evaluate a NIS using cognitive walkthrough (CW) evaluation method. Based on five selected scenarios, evaluators evaluated in Shafa Hospital Information System. After identifying problems, assigned each problem one attributes. severity identified was determined by real users system. In total, 24 unique were identified. average (2.77) actual (2.82) "major problem" category. highest number scenarios 3 2 15 14 respectively. terms evaluations related scenario 5 (3.06 2.94, respectively), which associated learnability (8 problems) efficiency (6 problems). Since most do not have enough time for learning system, given based frequent daily tasks performed NIS; correction had execution time; reduce nurses' load increase nurses.
