U.S. Wine consumer interest in wine ingredient and nutritional information

In the United States, labelling for wine containing at least 7% alcohol by volume is regulated Tax and Trade Bureau, which does not require labels to include ingredient or nutrition labelling, except added sulfites. With European Union moving toward mandatory disclosure of information wine, one may expect level debate in U.S. increase. We conducted an online survey consumers who are 21 years old (legal drinking age U.S.) consume once every two three months determine their interest wineries disclosing wine. asked about importance when deciding purchase determining willingness pay, we purchase. separately regressed dependent variables against Wine Consumption (frequency), Price, Physical Activity, Diet, Knowledge, Age, Income, Education. Overall, respondents indicated that having was only somewhat important, with mean responses 3.04 on a 5-point scale (1 = Not Important, 5 Very Important) choosing 3.01 2.48 The factor greatest impact buy higher-end monthly higher interest, followed healthy diet information, older less information. Age also had regarding following same direction but being most significant.
