Uric acid and cardiovascular disease: A clinical review

چکیده

Uric acid, the end-product of purine metabolism in humans, is not only a cause gout, but also may play roles developing cardiovascular diseases such as hypertension, atrial fibrillation, chronic kidney disease, heart failure, coronary artery and death. Several clinical investigations have reported serum uric acid predictive marker for outcomes. Although causal relationship hyperuricemia to remains controversial, there has been growing interest because increased prevalence worldwide. This review article summarizes current evidence concerning relation between diseases.
