University students' cyclical self-assessment process mediated by artificial intelligence in academic writing

چکیده

This study was designed to investigate the cyclical self-assessment process in Academic Writing class mediated by Artificial Intelligence (AI). narrative inquiry elicited data from three university students having different writing proficiency levels: high, middle, and low levels at one Indonesia. The collected through reflective notes interviews. then analysed using thematic analysis. revealed two significant findings. First, with engaged stages of caused main factors, namely learning motivation level trust AI. more motivated student learn, likely they were seek external feedback actively. Additionally, their Automated Written Corrective Feedback (AWCF) Evaluation (AWE) them an evaluation revision that a would improve final results. Second, (AI) could facilitate effective various features. implication is discussed.
