چکیده
Abstract It is an underlying fact for the case of joining process especially welding to have optimized parameters achieve joints with outstanding mechanical characteristics. In current article, using stir-cast aluminum-based alloy (Al 6061) Al 6061/5%wt. silicon carbide, 6061/10%wt. and 6061/18%wt. carbide was welded underwater friction-stir process. Optimum [namely, tool rotating speed (N), (S), (SiC)] are investigated analysis variance (ANOVA) response surface methodology (RSM) statistical approaches. High ultimate tensile strength microhardness were set as required characteristics quality welds. Since there two responses objectives, multiple-criteria decision-making approach—response performed alongside ANOVA. Optimal from these approaches converged a 1,736.36 rpm, 11.58 mm/min, SiC 16.67%, respectively. For inquiry, computed 984 MPa 89.9 HV, respectively, values congruent findings effectiveness studies. deduced this study that optimal convergent irrespective used techniques experimental data.

Friction Stir Welding Process Optimization: Experimental Methods
Introduction The Friction Stir Welding (FSW) process is an innovative technique to join metals in the plasticity field, thus not reaching the melting temperature and consequently the liquid state as it happen in traditional welding processes. This feature of the FSW proved an enhancement of the fatigue behaviour and strength of the joints, leading some companies to adopt the process for the man...
متن کاملEffect of friction stir welding parameters on the microstructure and mechanical properties of dissimilar AA2024-AA6061 joints
In the present study, to resolve the problems in fusion welding methods as well as to increase the strength, FSW method was used to join aluminum alloy sheets 6061 and 2024. Moreover, optimal parameters for joining of these two alloys were also taken into consideration. Various tool rotation speeds of 565, 950 and 1500 rpm were selected. For each tool rotation speed, two traverse speed variable...

AA 6061 has gathered wide acceptance in the fabrication of the light structures required to high strength. Compared to the fusion welding processes that are used for joining structural aluminium alloys, friction stir welding (FSW) process is an emerging solid state joining process in which the material that is being welded does not melt and recast. In this experimental work, an extensive invest...

The welding of materials by applying Friction Stir Welding technique is a new solid-state joining technique. The main advantage of this method compared to the traditional joining process is that it minimizes problem-related to metal resolidification as the method incorporates no melting phase. In this experimental work, the effect of friction stir welding (FSW) technique on the microstructu...
متن کاملInvestigating the Effect of Optimum Welding Parameters on the Microstructural and Mechanical Properties of St37 Steel and 316L Stainless Steel Welded by the Friction Stir Welding Process
In this research, St37 and 316L steel sheets were welded using friction stir welding (FSW) process and effective parameters such as the rotational speed, linear speed of the tool, pin diameter, and their appropriate values were studied. The microstructure, hardness, and strength of the different welding regions were investigated. It was observed that in the stir zone (SZ), a mechanical operatio...
