Understanding the variability of pointing tasks with event-driven intermittent control

چکیده
Event-driven Intermittent control (IC) has been used as a framework to explain relevant aspects of human movement. The events, which are generated by states crossing predefined thresholds, give rise state trajectories that mimic those continuous controller, only using feedback information at event times. Here we present the results an optimisation approach identify parameters intermittent controller from experimental data, where users performed one dimensional mouse movements in reciprocal pointing task. show IC is able reproduce both, dynamical features and variability task across participants. We then introduce probabilistic elements form Gaussian processes additional method represent movement variability.

Event-driven and Attribute-driven Robustness
Over five decades have passed since the first wave of robust optimization studies conducted by Soyster and Falk. It is outstanding that real-life applications of robust optimization are still swept aside; there is much more potential for investigating the exact nature of uncertainties to obtain intelligent robust models. For this purpose, in this study, we investigate a more refined description...

there is less published research about how teachers in efl contexts respond to students who are relatively less mature and less competent l2 writers. while writing researchers have examined various issues concerning peer and teacher response in writing-oriented classes, little research has centered on the effect of collaborative tasks particularly dictogloss on writing skills. output collaborat...
15 صفحه اولConstrained Control of Event-Driven Networked Systems
This article focuses on the control of Networked Systems in which the packets are time-stamped and suffer from long (more than one sampling period) transmission delays. The inner sample arrival of the packet, coupled with other constraints posed by the system’s characteristics such as control and/or state saturation impedes the system’s performance. A constrained finite time optimal controller ...
متن کاملThe Impact of Control-Display Gain on User Performance in Pointing Tasks
We theoretically and empirically examine the impact of control display (CD) gain on mouse pointing performance. Two techniques for modifying CD gain are considered: constant gain (CG) where CD gain is uniformly adjusted by a constant multiplier, and pointer acceleration (PA) where CD gain is adjusted using a nonuniform function depending on movement characteristics. HUMAN–COMPUTER INTERACTION, ...
