Understanding Genetic Variability Parameters of Greengram (Vigna radiata L. Wilczek) Germplasm for Agro-Morphological Traits

نویسندگان

چکیده

The greengram, also known as mungbean or Vigna radiata L. Wilczek, is a significant pulse crop in India. Throughout India, it mostly cultivated subsistence agricultural systems. Even though may be three seasons across the average production unbelievably low. local germplasm has genetic variation since developed wide variety of environmental settings. To comprehend variability and identification distinct lines, study was conducted on 300 green gram accessions utilising 14 quantitative traits. For pods per plant, pod clusters branches biological yield 100 seed weight, nodes harvest index, seeds pod, relatively high PCV GCV were found. Additionally, an evaluation advance (GA) broad-sense heritability (h2) done to select most variables. Due their broad sense advance, plant height, index shown highly suited for breeding programmes. breeder must typically utilise appropriate strategy use these traits subsequent

Estimation of Genetic Variability in Turmeric (curcuma Longa L.) Germplasm Using Agro-morphological Traits

Turmeric is an important medicinal plant and cultivated spice crop in Pakistan. The present study was conducted to determine the extent of genetic variation and relationship among turmeric genotypes using 21 qualitative and quantitative traits. A total of 20 genotypes collected from three eco-geographical areas (Bannu, Haripur and Kasur) of turmeric cultivation in Pakistan were studied under fi...

Morphological and Pathogenic Variability among Macrophomina phaseolina Isolates Associated with Mungbean (Vigna radiata L.) Wilczek from Pakistan

Macrophomina phaseolina is a serious pathogen of many crops. In the present studies, 65 isolates of Macrophomina phaseolina from different agroecological regions of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces of Pakistan were analyzed for morphological and pathogenic variability. Regardless of their geographic origins, significant differences were detected among 65 isolates in their radial growth, ...

GENETIC DIVESITY AND MOLECULAR CHARACTERIZATION OF MUNGBEAN GENOTYPES (Vigna radiata (L.) Wilczek)

The present investigation was undertaken to examine the genetic divergence in 50 mungbean germplasm lines for 13 characters using Mahalanobis D statistics. The genotypes grouped into eight clusters. Cluster VII had maximum intra-cluster distance while inter-cluster distance was highest between clusters V and VII. Cluster means indicated that none of the clusters was superior for all the charact...

Does Aluminium Phytotoxicity Induce Oxidative Stress in Greengram (vigna Radiata)?

To verify whether aluminium phytotoxicity causes oxidative stress in developing greengram seedlings, the present investigation was carried out. An uniform decrease in root and shoot elongations was marked as the primary signs of aluminium injury. A significant increase in lipid peroxidation measured in terms of TBARS content was noticed which was also correlated with an increase in membrane inj...
