Understanding Climate Change and Heavy Metals in Coastal Areas: A Macroanalysis Assessment

چکیده

Increasing human-induced climate issues, such as water pollution, have triggered rapid physiochemical changes, especially in coastal regions. These changes directly impacted aquatic animals that live near areas, bivalves and crustaceans (e.g., clams, crabs), well those the lower areas of habitat (i.e., sediment). Heavy metal pollution mercury) is one most concerning these areas. The effects heavy metals on environments organisms can be substantial, spite restoration efforts. Thus, more studies are needed to analyze current situation impacts climate-change-related issues concentrations In this paper, we provide a scientometrics analysis interactions between change regions around world. Scientometrics quantitative available literature, with focus research patterns, using continuous systematic methods. Our results showed there was total 7922 related from 1979 2021. contamination, ecological quality status ocean acidification among influential keywords field. Contamination, Toxicity and Ecological Risk Assessment of Heavy Metals in Surface Sediments of Coastal Areas of Bushehr Province: A Systematic Review Study

Background: Heavy metals due to their ecological risks and high toxicity to living organisms are considered as one of the most dangerous pollutants. Therefore, the present study was conducted to investigate the level of pollution, toxicity and the ecological risks of heavy metals in the coastal surface sediments of Bushehr province using systematic review. Methods: To conduct this review study,...

Assessment of the distribution, bioavailability and ecological risk assessment of heavy metals in the coastal sediments of Qeshm Island (Hormozgan)

Sediment samples were collected from 8 sites in the northern areas of Qeshm Island, Iran to determine the total and partial concentrations of heavy metals including copper (Cu), lead (Pb), nickel (Ni), cadmium (Cd), and Iron (Fe), in February 2016. A combination of nitric acid and perchloric acid was used to determine the total concentrations and sequential extraction method was used to analyze...

Speciation and mobility of heavy metals in mud in coastal reclamation areas in Shenzhen, China

Coastal reclamation has been carried out along the coastal areas near Shenzhen, China in a large scale since 1980s by dumping fill materials over the marine mud at the sea bottom. Usually the area to be reclaimed is drained first and some of the mud is airdried for a few weeks before it is buried by fill. After reclamation, the terrestrial groundwater, which is relatively acidic and with high d...

Heavy Metals Estimation in Coastal Areas Using Remote Sensing, Field Sampling and Classical and Robust Statistic

Abstract—Sediments are an important source of accumulation of toxic contaminants within the aquatic environment. Bioassays are a powerful tool for the study of sediments in relation to their toxicity, but they can be expensive. This article presents a methodology to estimate the main physical property of intertidal sediments in coastal zones: heavy metals concentration. This study, which was de...
