Ultrasound-Guided Pericapsular Nerve Group (PENG) Block Combined with Lateral Femoral Cutaneous Nerve Block for Total Hip Arthroplasty

چکیده
With the arrival of an aging society and progress surgical procedures, total hip arthroplasty (THA) has been carried out more more. However, postoperative pain severely affected patient’s recovery, there is currently no reliable analgesic method available. Evidence-based international expert consensus also recommends, compared to LIA, peripheral nerve block (PNB) as a central approach use in THA for improved outcomes [1]. In this case report, we described 4 cases analgesia with pericapsular group (PENG) combined lateral femoral cutaneous (LFCNB) patients undergoing THA.

Ultrasound-guided Lateral Femoral Cutaneous Nerve Block in Meralgia Paresthetica
Meralgia paresthetica is a rarely encountered sensory mononeuropathy characterized by paresthesia, pain or sensory impairment along the distribution of the lateral femoral cutaneous nerve (LFCN) caused by entrapment or compression of the nerve as it crossed the anterior superior iliac spine and runs beneath the inguinal ligament. There is great variability regarding the area where the nerve pie...
متن کاملUltrasound guided posterior femoral cutaneous nerve block.
The posterior femoral cutaneous nerve (PFCN) is a branch of the sacral plexus. It needs to be implemented as a complementary block for anesthesia or in the surgeries necessitating tourniquet in the suitable cases. We consider target oriented block concept within the PFCN block in the anesthesia implementations with the emergence of ultrasonic regional anesthesia in the practice and with the bet...
متن کاملA comparison of femoral/sciatic nerve block with lateral femoral cutaneous nerve block and combined spinal epidural anesthesia for total knee replacement arthroplasty
BACKGROUND Several factors, such as compromised cardiopulmonary function, anticoagulative therapy, or anatomical deformity in the elderly, prevent general anesthesia and neuraxial blockade from being conducted for total knee replacement arthroplasty (TKRA). We investigated the efficacy of femoral/sciatic nerve block with lateral femoral cutaneous nerve block (FSNB) as an alternative procedure i...
متن کاملUltrasound Guided Obturator Versus Sciatic Nerve Block in Addition to Continuous Femoral Nerve Block for Analgesia After Total Knee Arthroplasty
Both obturator and sciatic nerve block in combination with femoral nerve block (FNB) have been suggested to be useful in relieving pain after total knee arthroplasty (TKA), compared with FNB alone. We compared their efficacy in this retrospective study. For six consecutive months, patients undergoing unilateral TKA under general anesthesia with continuous FNB plus obturator nerve block (n = 8) ...
متن کاملFemoral nerve block versus fascia iliaca block for pain control in total knee and hip arthroplasty
BACKGROUND This meta-analysis aimed to perform a meta-analysis to compare the efficiency and safety between femoral nerve block (FNB) and fascia iliaca block (FIB) for postoperative pain control in patients undergoing total knee and hip arthroplasties. METHODS A systematic search was performed in Medline (1966-2017.05), PubMed (1966-2017.05), Embase (1980-2017.05), ScienceDirect (1985-2017.05...
