چکیده
Indocyanine green (ICG) shows promise for diagnosing and treating tumors due to its good photothermal fluorescent properties. In this study, sodium heparin (SH)-stabilized ICG/nano-hydroxyapatite (SH-ICG/nHAP) suspension was ultrasonically prepared achieve photodynamic collaborative therapy (PTT/PDT) tumors. The nHAP had a short rod-like shape drug-loading capacity of 13.3% ICG, corresponding efficiency 88.6%. addition, the SH-ICG/nHAP showed very low release ICG in PBS (7.4) slightly improved acidic buffers (6.5, 5.5), indicating an excellent binding ability ICG. resulting stability. Perfluorocarbons in photodynamic and photothermal therapy
Photodynamic therapy (PDT) and photothermal therapy (PTT) belong to the category of phototherapy and are based on the photophysical generation of either noxious reactive oxygen species, thereby inducing oxidative stress, or rather cell-hostile environmental conditions (local hyperthermia) with the general aim to destroy abnormal tissues. A great advantage of both strategies is the fact that the...
متن کاملNanoparticle Platforms for Combined Photothermal and Photodynamic Therapy
Phototherapy is a promising strategy for cancer treatment due to its selective and localized therapeutic effect by laser irradiation. Photothermal therapy damages malignant cells by using heat converted from light by an agent. On the other hand, photodynamic therapy uses photosensitizers that become cytotoxic upon irradiation with laser light at excitation wavelength. As singular treatment of e...

Photodynamic therapy (PDT) is an alternative therapy which is administered with non-toxic drugs, called photosensitizers (PSs), along with irradiation at a specific wavelength of light to damage tumor cells. Different wavelengths of light sources and photosensitizers have been investigated in treatment of many cancer types. In this study, we investigated whether photodynamic therapy using indoc...

For several decades, cancer has been one of the most life-threatening diseases. For enhancing anticancer efficiency with minimum side effects, combination therapy is envisioned. The current manuscript reports for the first time the development of a methylene blue (MB) bound nanoplatform, which is capable of delivering targeted diagnostic and combined synergistic photothermal and photodynamic tr...
متن کاملEffects of photodynamic hyperthermal therapy with indocyanine green on tumor growth in a colon 26 tumor-bearing mouse model
The present study used indocyanine green (ICG) and a broadband light source apparatus [photodynamic hyperthermal therapy (PHT) group] in order to treat a colon 26 tumor-bearing mouse model. The other groups were administered either ICG alone (ICG group), light alone (light group) or no treatment (control group). Following the treatment, tumor growth was measured. Nine days after the treatment, ...
